The capacity is different too

SL-100DC PRO is rated to 50 feet / 2,000 pounds. SL-100FP AC is rated to 37 feet / 1,000 pounds.

Direct answer: On models such as the SL-100FP AC, FP refers to the foot-pedal release version.

The pedal gives you a mechanical way to disengage the operator during a power outage.

Why you may see 22 feet

The manufacturer page also has a 22-foot header. Because its detailed current table says 20 feet, this site uses 20 feet for sizing.

Both use DC power, built-in batteries, and can use solar.

We use the detailed 14-foot / 700-pound table value in the Fit Check so we do not recommend the model beyond the safer published spec.

Direct answer: The weight limit changes with gate length. All-O-Matic publishes 1,600 lb at 8 ft, 1,200 lb at 12 ft, 800 lb at 16 ft, and 600 lb at 18 ft.

That is why the Fit Check stores the conservative 18-foot / 600-pound pair instead of mixing the biggest length with the biggest weight.
