  • Can a swing gate opener open outward?

    Direct answer: Some swing-gate systems can be set up to push the gate outward, but the brackets, arm position, and programming may be different.

    Do not assume a normal pull-to-open installation can simply be flipped around. Check the exact model manual for push-to-open instructions.

  • Can a gate opener handle an uphill swing gate?

    Direct answer: Sometimes, but an uphill swing is a special installation. A normal arm may bind or put the wrong force on the gate.

    Use a model or special arm that the maker approves for uphill movement. Eagle, for example, sells an uphill swivel-arm option for some swing systems.
